Stephanie Dewinski , MSW, LCSW,  came to Suicide Prevention Services in 2016 as a Master of Social Work intern from Aurora University, getting her Bachelors Degree in psychology , minoring in women and gender studies at NIU in 2014. She stayed on with SPS after graduation to become the Coordinator of Education and Training. She is now the Associate Executive Director of SPS.

 

Stephanie is also a licensed social worker and is passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and children. She has a special interest in working with those who struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as those who struggle with self-confidence and self-compassion.

 

Stephanie collaborates with clients while incorporating creativity into therapy through art, coping skills, and problem solving to empower clients to reach goals and express themselves.

 

In Stephanie’s free time she loves doing anything creative, especially cooking and baking, or being in the outdoors with her husband and dog Rocky.
