Founded in 1998, SPS is one of seven agencies in the United States that offers a 24-hour phone hotline, counseling, depression screening, workshops, prevention training, and intervention in schools, support groups and annual awareness events.
SPS is staffed with five, all with Master Degrees or higher, numerous volunteers and 6 interns.
SPS is certified every five years by the American Association of Suicidology with the recent certification in fall of 2019.
